ABOUT
Roger Filmyer is a skilled data scientist with a passion for uncovering insights and solving problems. Roger is adept at working with large datasets, creating polished data visualizations, and solving geographic problems.
Roger is a recent graduate of New College of Florida’s innovative Data Science Master’s Program, where he worked on projects such as: a neural network-based language identification algorithm, a time series model of tropical weather events, and a Markov state model of patient outcomes using medical records data.
Prior to returning to school, Roger worked at Turo as a data analyst. At Turo, Roger analyzed business problems such as search funnel conversion and Turo’s driver onboarding process, created new data sources for the Government Relations team, and monitored A/B tests for the product team.
Roger earned his BA (International Studies and Economics) and MS (Data Science) from New College of Florida in Sarasota, FL.
